Anne Lily Vanderwolf (nee Placatka)
April 11, 1927 – September 10, 2021
It is with great sadness and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Aunt. Anne is survived by her children Case (Sandy), Julia McPhail, Dave (Tammie), Dan (Colleen), Jenny (Stan) Major, Ken (Sharon), Garry (Shelley), Johnny (Elona) grandchildren and their families – Jill, Kyla, Lisa, Amanda, Shelley, Kevin, Todd, Terence, Megan, Darcy, Ryan, Kyle, Brandi and Nicole and 21 great-grandchildren. Anne is also survived by her cherished cousins and their families in Texas.
Anne was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, Gerrit, grand-daughter Jacqui Major, brothers Edward and Paul, sister Frances, parents and brother’s in law John and Case.
Due to the increase in Covid cases, a celebration of Anne’s life will be held for family only on September 16, 2021 at Rose Garden Chapel in Barrhead. The service will be live streamed for all others. A private family burial will be held at the Fern Valley Cemetery.
