Dave was born in Winnipeg and he spent most of his early life in beautiful Brandon, Manitoba. He studied accounting at the Manitoba Technology Institute in Winnipeg, and afterward worked in Winnipeg, Estevan and Calgary. He met his beloved wife of 61 years, Joyce, in Calgary,and their daughter Joanne was born there. They then moved to Swan Hills where their son, Bradley, was born. They lived in Swan Hills for 30 years. They retired to Thunder Lake (14 years) and Brookside Village (13 years) and a year ago moved to Klondike Place. Dave lived his life with quiet humour and particular tastes; he could be counted on to notice and cherish every dog, child, and antique car that crossed his path. He will be missed. Left to mourn are wife, Joyce; son, Bradley (LaVonne); 3 grandkids, Kiley, Ian, and Megan; and many friends.

Predeceased by daughter, Joanne; mother and father, Rebecca and Alexander; and sister, Patricia.

Celebration of Life will be held September 9 at 2 PM at Barrhead United Church and reception to follow at Seniors Drop in Centre Southside.
