Lynn Jeanyne Vold
1962 - 2021
Lynn Jeanyne Vold (nee Weiss) was born on April 26, 1962 in Edmonton Alberta. She spent her childhood years first in Edmonton and then on the family farm south of Leduc. She had fond memories of attending Wiesenthal Baptist Church with her family as a child. Lynn went to elementary and high school in Leduc. After spending one year at Trinity Western University in British Columbia, she returned to Edmonton to complete her Education Degree at the University of Alberta. Lynn started her teaching career at Meadowview School but then took a position at Neerlandia Public Christian School where she would teach grade four and then grade one for close to thirty years in total. During much of this time Lynn attended Beulah Alliance Church in Edmonton and enjoyed the singles group where she found many good friendships. Lynn met Wesley Vold at the Beulah Singles and they were married on July 8, 2001. God blessed this union with three children. Lynn enjoyed using her teaching skills at church as well and taught Sunday School and Children’s Church at Barrhead Alliance Church for many years. Lynn went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 12, 2021 after a four-year battle with cancer.
Lynn was pre-deceased by her father (Arthur Weiss) in 2015.
Lynn is survived by her husband (Wesley) her children (Matthew, Daniel and Rachel Vold), her mother (Darlene Weiss) and her brother (Douglas Weiss). She is also survived by her brother and sister-in law (Vincent and Patti Vold) her nephews (Nicholas Weiss, Tyler (Janelle) Vold, Kyle (Nicena) Vold and David Vold) and her nieces (Kelly Vold, Tovah (Martin) Bauer, Maren (Adam) Patterson, Bethany Vold and Judite Vold).
Donation suggestions are Barrhead Alliance Church or The Alberta Cancer Foundation. A private family graveside service will be held at Wiesenthal Cemetery. Rose Garden Chapel in care of arrangements.
Funeral Service will be available to be viewed on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM
