SHELDON WITZKE
The family of Sheldon Witzke announces his passing on August 18, 2023 with the utmost sadness. Sheldon was born in Barrhead and was raised in Vega, but moved back to Barrhead when he was 18 to work for Petro Canada. Sheldon went on to work at Tontine, became an automotive technician for Grizzly Trail Motors and worked there for 25 years. Sheldon then switched careers and joined the Town of Barrhead. He married his wife Susan and took on Stetson as his own son.
Known for his unfailingly positive personality and love of family and friends, Sheldon was an ideal friend. You could always count on him to smile and chit chat with you. He had a big heart and a genuine interest in helping others out. While Sheldon had many hobbies that occupied his spare time, some of his favorite ones included touring around (especially in his truck), fishing, hunting, camping, tinkering in the garage, and simply listening to music.
A funeral service will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 at 1 pm at Bethel Pentecostal Church.
