ALICE “KLEINFELDT’’ WOWK

1925 - 2023

Alice Lilly Wowk was born on August 21, 1925, in Babiak, Poland, to Adolf and Natalie Neumann. She had one brother who died in infancy. Alice attended school in Barrhead after arriving in the area at the age of 6, and she spent her younger years working on the farm near Manola before retiring to the town of Barrhead.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Alice had a passion for gardening, camping, fishing, playing cards, dancing,
and she was an amazing cook.

Alice leaves to mourn her son, Richard Kleinfeldt (Linda), daughter Dianne Warehime (Randy), grandchildren: Annette Graham (Sean), Dwayne Kleinfeldt (Jackie), Brent Warehime (Laurie Lynn), Michelle Werkman (Carl), and great-grandchildren: Kendall Graham (Marco), Payton Warehime, Hailey Graham, Morgan Werkman, Jordan Kleinfeldt (Pippa), McKenna Werkman, Ashley Warehime, Kyle Kleinfeldt, Hayden Werkman, Oliver Werkman. Also her step-daughter Margo Jerace (Grant), step-son Clarence Wowk, and family.

Alice was predeceased by her first husband, Julius Kleinfeldt, in 1971, and husband Joseph Wowk in 2007.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tawfik and express their sincere gratitude to the loving, caring, and compassionate nurses and staff at Barrhead Continuing Care Centre.

A funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 1:00 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Barrhead.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s memory can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
