TORONTO — Toronto police say they are investigating the death of a female pedestrian who was struck by two vehicles in Scarborough on Thursday night.

Police say an unidentified pedestrian was walking in the northbound lanes of Birchmount Road, north of Anaconda Avenue, when a white cargo van travelling northbound struck her.

She was then struck by a dark SUV that was travelling southbound on Birchmount Road.

Police say the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

They say both vehicles left the area after the woman was struck.

Police say anyone who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident should contact investigators.
