Police searching for witnesses after fatal Hamilton highway crash

Police are looking for witnesses following a fatal crash on a highway in Hamilton, Ont., on Friday. Hamilton police say a 47-year-old man stopped his car on the shoulder of the Lincoln Alexander Parkway shortly after 8 p.m.

Police are looking for witnesses following a fatal crash on a highway in Hamilton, Ont., on Friday.

Hamilton police say a 47-year-old man stopped his car on the shoulder of the Lincoln Alexander Parkway shortly after 8 p.m.

They say the man was struck by a transport truck when he got out of his vehicle.

Emergency crews responded to the call and pronounced the man dead on scene.

Police say the driver of the truck remained at the crash site and is co-operating with investigators.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Hamilton police.
