Dear Editor,
Let us give a hand to that paving crew doing the southern part of Highway 33. They are doing such a good job of catching all of the holes, that I almost forget the roller coaster ride that now exists.
With the government’s backing, our newly found Highway 33 south of Barrhead has been, in a sense, ravaged, and then repaired by uneven, rough patchwork. Patchwork that includes stripwork here, there – it can be everywhere and anywhere, as your vehicle bounces around trying to manoeuvre its way down the lane, straight to a new pair of shocks, or even death.
Highway 33, you are rough, not level anywhere, and a far cry from Highway 33 north of Barrhead. Why does the government not care that these people perform rather poorly in their maintenance of a highway? Why does the government allow such a disdainful attempt, as we have thus been shown? Why does the government not act upon these incidents? Why must we have to suffer the indignity of someone higher than the best of our command?
Maybe I am wrong. Maybe I have misconstrued the true value of the local paving crew. Maybe.
