I have been noticing that the price of gas in Barrhead has been more expensive than the surrounding area.
Last week, Aug. 9, the gas in Westlock, Legal and Edmonton was $1.09. I came to Barrhead and it was $1.11. On Aug. 11, the gas in Westlock, Legal and Clyde had been reduced to $1.06 and it was still $1.11 in Barrhead. To this date, the Barrhead price is $1.08 as compared to $1.06 in the surrounding area.
I inquired at Fas Gas and was told the reason it could not be changed was the manager was not in and attendants could not change it. I talked to someone at Co-op to inquire and asked to have the manager return my call. I did not receive a returned call. It was mentioned to me that when the gas station tanks are full or empty the price does not change until their tanks are filled. I do not see all three gas stations getting filled up with gas at the same time. Maybe someone can make some sense of the gas prices and let all of us know what is going on.
