Vanderwell Contractors (1971) Ltd. 2025 Vegetation Management Program PUBLIC NOTICE Vanderwell Contractors (1971) Ltd. would like to invite the public to provide input on this year’s herbicide program. The program involves treating approximately 1,600 hectares with Timberline, active ingredient Glyphosate. This will be applied on the ground via backpack applicators and/or aerially via helicopters. The recently reforested harvest areas are located in: Slave Lake, Marten Hills, Swan Hills and Calling Lake areas. Within the following townships: TWP RGE MER 75 26 4 73 22 4 74 23, 24 4 73, 74 25 4 75 26 4 71, 72, 75 01 5 71, 72, 74, 75 02 5 74, 75 03 5 75 04 5 69, 70 07, 08, 09 5 68, 69 10 5 68, 69 11 5 These applications are an important part of our vegetation management program aimed at ensuring a sustainable forest resource. The purpose of these applications is to temporarily control or suppress competing vegetation that will negatively impact the growth and survival of planted and/or seeded conifer seedlings. Proposed timing of the applications is between August 1st, 2025 and September 22, 2025.
