Crimson Lake Campground

Crimson Lake Campground, located just west of Rocky Mountain House, is an excellent destination for enjoying the beauty of the Rockies in all seasons. In the summer, campers can enjoy boating and a large beach. In the winter, it is the perfect place for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and fat biking. Unlike most campgrounds, the interpretive programs at Crimson Lake Provincial Park run all year long. The campground store is open every Saturday throughout the winter for snowshoe rentals and firewood sales. Visit the park on Family Day weekend to experience the many free activities offered at the Crimson Lake Winterfest. Winter camping sites have power, but they do not have water and are not reservable. There are 11 sites available in the off-season for $20 per night.

Beauvais Lake Campground

Beauvais Lake Campground is the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful scenery of rolling foothills in any season. Beauvais Lake Provincial Park is a popular destination for bird and wildlife watching as well as fishing in the summer months. In the winter, visitors enjoy snowshoeing, skiing, and ice fishing. The campground has 15 powered winter campsites that are first come, first served and cost $25 per night. Campers should note that there is not any firewood available on the campground and there is no drinking water available in the winter months. Beauvais Lake Campground is located southwest of Pincher Creek.

Wherever you camp in the off-season, make sure your RV is winterized properly and bring adequate drinking water and firewood.
