In order to make sure that the trip is enjoyable for both of you, make sure to plan it together. Enjoy the process of choosing the destination together as well as any activities that you might want to try along the way. Don’t forget to compromise so both of you have some input into the itinerary.

Make the most of your time alone and treat yourselves to some special meals while camping. If you both love to cook, plan a more extravagant meal than you normally would prepare at the campground. Cooking together over the campfire is fun and romantic.
If you’d rather not spend your time together cooking, choose a destination close to a town or city with great dining choices. Splurge and get a beautiful takeout meal to bring back to your RV or dine in at the restaurant. However you choose to spend your time together is up to you.
Don’t forget to bring your sweetheart a special surprise. It can be as simple as a box of chocolates or a favourite bottle of wine. Little touches like this will make your camping trip even more enjoyable.
Romantic Destinations
While you can plan a romantic RV trip anywhere, a truly beautiful destination will help to pump up the romance level. Try to book a campsite with a stunning view of a river, lake, mountains, or sunset. Look for campgrounds that are quiet and peaceful. Nothing ruins a romantic weekend like a raging party in the campsite next door.
There are beautiful campgrounds in British Columbia’s Okanagan wine country. Have fun exploring the wine tasting opportunities together during the day followed by gorgeous sunset views from your campsite in the evening.
Some parks, like Elk Island National Park, Jasper National Park, and Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, are designated as official Dark Sky sites. The night skies in these locations are not polluted by city lights and the stargazing is phenomenal. There’s nothing more romantic than cuddling up together and looking up at the stars.
