The Canadian Tractor Museum has submitted its bid for the tallest working weathervane to be voted the greatest Canadian landmark for 2025.

This is the second year the Municipal World Landmark Contest was hosted, with Mr. PG, an iconic wooden mascot in Prince George, B.C., taking home the title with thousands of votes cast.

The contest is a way to highlight the landmarks that represent the history of their region, the culture and the community.

This year, the Canadian Tractor Museum has entered the tallest working weathervane with a real 1942 Steelwheel Case tractor on top. It was installed back in 2006 as a signpost for the museum and spans 60 feet.

Barb Kostiw, the Executive Director of the Canadian Tractor Museum, emphasized the importance of this contest for the community. “We need to get out there and show our civic pride and see if we can get Westlock's landmark on the map,” she said.

Anyone can go to the Municipal World Landmark Contest website to vote for their pick as the next great Canadian Landmark.
