WESTLOCK – The Pickardville Road will be temporarily closed tomorrow morning, Aug. 5, from 7 to 10 a.m. in preparation for this weekend’s Blue Suede Music Festival.
Specifically, both directions on the stretch from Township Road 594 to Highway 18 will be shuttered with the town asking motorists to use Highway 44 as an alternate route.
After the road re-opens, the speed limit will be reduced to 30 km/h for the entirety of the music festival, which is slated to wrap Sunday, Aug. 7.
“We apologize for the traffic interruption and thank you for your patience as we work to accommodate increased recreation traffic during the Blue Suede Music Festival weekend,” reads a release from the Town of Westlock.
