WESTLOCK – A 29-year-old Fawcett woman faces more than 30 theft-related charges after a Saturday-evening search warrant turned up a pair of stolen vehicles and a laundry list of hot items.

Westlock RCMP Detachment acting commander Cpl. Riley Sutherland said that on June 17, they, along with the help of Westlock Traffic Services and Barrhead RCMP officers, executed a search warrant on a property in Fawcett and recovered two stolen vehicles and “a large amount of stolen property”, including tools from a recent break and enter in the Flatbush area.

A 29-year-old Fawcett woman now faces five charges of possession of stolen property, along with defacing a vehicle identification number, in addition to 27-theft-related charges following a June 14 break and enter at a rural property in Westlock County. Sutherland, who didn’t release the woman’s name, said she’s scheduled to make her first appearance in Westlock Court of Justice July 5.
