Parishioners with St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church carry a wooden cross down the ramp at the entrance of Parkview Plaza in Westlock as part of the annual Stations of the Cross devotion on the morning of Good Friday (March 29). The Stations of the Cross is a centuries-old tradition across the world where faithful walk a path symbolizing the journey of Jesus Christ on his way to the crucifixion. In Westlock, this annual tradition has been observed for many years, with local senior's centures and churches serving as the 14 stations. Parkview Plaza was one of the earliest stops.
