WESTLOCK – Thieves made off with an estimated $1,500 in product and caused $700 worth of damages to a Capri Mall business following an early-morning burglary June 28.

Westlock RCMP Detachment acting commander Cpl. Riley Sutherland said the culprits entered Small Town Vapes, located at 10404 – 100th Street, around 1:35 a.m., Wednesday and triggered an alarm, while police weren’t contacted until around 6 a.m. The RCMP forensic identification unit was called out that day to gather evidence, while Sutherland said they’ve reviewed the security camera footage of the incident.

“We’re investigating and following up on leads currently. As well, a portion of the property has been recovered,” said Sutherland.
