WESTLOCK — Several events and activities in Westlock have been cancelled or postponed today and on the weekend, due the extreme cold over the next couple of days.
The Westlock Lacrosse drop-in try-It event that was supposed to held at the Rotary Spirit Centre Friday evening, Jan. 12 has been cancelled and the Westlock Warriors senior men’s hockey team have postponed their Saturday, Jan. 13 game against Camrose, which was also supposed to be held at the Rotary Spirit Centre.
The Town of Westlock confirmed that the shack at the Eastglen outdoor skating rink has been closed, as per the regular operating procedure when temperatures drop below -25 C.
The Teen Night laser tag event, which would have been hosted by Westlock Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) at the Rotary Spirit Centre on Friday evening, Jan. 12 has also been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
