A head-on collision between a cube van and a mini van on Highway 18 near the weigh scales east of Westlock last Tuesday afternoon left two area residents dead. A 71-year-old man died on the scene, while a 67-year-old woman died after being airlifted to the University of Alberta hospital. STARS Air Ambulance flew a second mission to the Westlock area Wednesday morning when a 53-year-old woman on a bicycle sustained serious injuries after being struck by a pickup truck on Sunniebend road west of Range Road 11.
