Two suspects charged with drug and firearms related offences

RCMP recovered suspected methamphetamine and two bolt action rifles with prohibited magazines

WESTLOCK — Westlock RCMP have arrested two people with drug and firearm related offences.  

Last month, on Dec. 18 Westlock RCMP responded to a call of suspicious vehicle at a local business in the Hamlet of Dapp. When RCMP attended, they located the suspicious vehicle with two occupants. 

Following a traffic stop, RCMP learned the vehicle and attached license plate did not match. RCMP investigated and both occupants were arrested. 

During a search of the vehicle RCMP recovered 86 grams of suspected methamphetamine and two bolt action rifles with prohibited magazines. 

Jordan Robert Brisebois 31, of Slave Lake, has been charged with two counts of possession of properties obtain by crime over $5000, unauthorized possession of a prohibited device, possession of a prohibited device in a vehicle, unauthorized possession of a firearm, tampering with VIN, possession of firearm with tampered serial number, possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of contraband cigarettes and possession of firearm in motor vehicle.  

Tanya Marie Rader 27, of Athabasca, has been charged with two counts of possession of properties obtain by crime over $5000.

Brisebois was taken before a justice of the peace and released, while Rader was released with conditions. Both are set to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Westlock on Feb. 7.
