WESTLOCK – A continuation date has been set for the trial of a Westlock County man facing charges of assault and mischief/causing damage.
On Aug. 7, Justice Carrie-Ann Downey set Oct. 24 as a special sitting date in Westlock Court of Justice for Brian Ranch’s trial to continue. The trial had started on July 31 with key Crown witnesses Jeanine Muller and Jeremy Sanchez taking the stand for most of the day.
The Crown still has one non-civilian witness to call, whereas the defence is expected to call four civilian witnesses.
Court heard Sanchez was initially charged with assault against Brian Ranch. The charge was later dropped, and Brian Ranch was charged instead.
