WESTLOCK – One person was sent to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 44 late Thursday afternoon.

Westlock RCMP Staff Sgt. Al Baird reports that at around 5 p.m., Oct. 6, a black Ford F-150, driven by a Westlock-area man, travelling east on Township Road 612 collided with a white SUV, occupied by an Athabasca couple, that had been heading north on Highway 44. Following the crash, Baird said the passenger of the SUV was taken to the Westlock Healthcare Centre with undisclosed injuries.

“There’s probably more coming out of this, but we’re waiting on some additional information,” said Baird Oct. 7.
