The Westlock Rotary Club raised $13,513 for the soon to be built Eastglen accessible park at a fundraiser event on May 25.
The fun-filled morning featured a pickleball tournament, cornhole tournament, and track walk drop-in.
“We're just super excited to promote an event that is family oriented and that promotes families abilities to help access to an area that they normally wouldn't have if they have limited mobility,” said rotary club president Jennifer Christensen.
Prizes in the raffle included first place winning a 6x9 cedar shed with delivery to anywhere within 50 km of Westlock with the second-place prize being a Milwaukee 2823-22hd electric lawn mower.
The Eastglen accessible park is scheduled to begin building in August with an expected completion in September.
