EDMONTON — An Amber Alert for a two-year-old girl issued by Edmonton police has been cancelled, according to Alberta's Emergency Alert System.

The provincial system says the girl has been found and the alert is cancelled, but it provided no word on the child's condition.

In an update Saturday evening, Edmonton police say the child was located safely at 5:32 p.m.

She was reported missing earlier in the afternoon after police said she was taken from an area on the city's south side.

They say after further investigation, the incident is believed to be non-criminal.

There are no charges pending against the man.
