Last Saturday, former Athabasca MLA Frank Appleby gathered with friends and family at the Athabasca Seniors Centre, along with 80 –100 members of the Athabasca community, to celebrate his 100th birthday. Appleby was born in the Town of Athabasca on Dec. 23, 1913.
