It’s one of the events on the calendar for everyone in the Village of Boyle.

This year’s Valentine’s Day Dance and Show hits the right date – Saturday, Feb. 14 – which is perfect for the family affair.

The big event will run from noon until 4 p.m. at the Boyle Community Centre with everyone welcome. Admission at the door is $5 for anyone six-years-old and up, with those younger than that getting in for free.

Terry Mudryk-Harbarenko, one of the volunteers helping to organize the event, hopes for another successful day.

“ Last year’s dance was a huge success for young and old alike,” she stated.

“Bring your family, friends as it is fun for the entire family.”

There will be lots of music – from some old classics to the more modern and hip tunes for the younger crowd – courtesy of All Fired Up DJ Services.

A few guests will be around to dance up a storm with the chance to do some dancing yourself if you feel up to it and there will be a concession available at the hall for those that might get a bit thirsty or hungry from all that dancing.

Mudryk-Harbarenko also encourages everyone to dress up in your favourite Valentine’s costume to help make the afternoon even more fun.

In addition to the music and dancing, people can participate in the many raffle ticket draws that will be there as well as the many items available during the silent auction.

Adults and kids alike will also be able to having their face painted, construct their own Valentine’s Day cards, get their hands on the variety of candy that will be on hand and play a few games that will be available.

The money raised will assist the Boyle Betterment Committee in their efforts to continue construction on the Historic Centennial Walking Trails as well as maintaining the downtown beautification project.
