Police are look on the hunt for two suspects after an ATM was stolen from the SS Athabasca Car Wash.

An Athabasca RCMP press release states that at about 5 a.m. on Mar. 15, police responded to a report of two male suspects breaking into the car wash. The suspects drove a dirty white extended cab pick up truck into the door to gain entry, took the ATM machine, and drove away.

The release says that about two hours later, the RCMP found the ATM located in the middle of a roadway. The ATM has been accessed, and an undisclosed amount of money was taken. A vehicle that had been stolen the previous day was located nearby. Police believe this was the vehicle used in this offence.

The RCMP are reminding people to make sure all outbuildings, houses, sheds, garages and personal belongings are secured at all times, and vehicles are not left running with keys inside.

The Athabasca RCMP are investigating the offence and request anyone with any information to please come forward.
