At least one suspect did not get to ride off into the sunset on a lawn mower they tried to steal.

According to an RCMP press release, Athabasca RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter on 52 Street in the Town of Athabasca on June 16.

They also rummaged through property and attempted to steal a ride on lawn mower.

According to the report, the suspect(s) were not able to get the lawn mower running, as evidenced by the fact it was left behind the alleyway.

It is unknown what, or if, any items were stolen from the property. At this time, there are no suspects or witnesses in this incident.
