Don Radmanovich, who served as mayor of Boyle since the October 2013 election and for one term prior, resigned as the mayor during last Wednesday’s council meeting.
He then nominated Bob Clark to take his spot, which council voted in favour of.
Clark was mayor in Boyle for 14.5 years, but took the last term off.
“The learning curve won’t be bad. It will just be about catching up to date on a few things,” Clark said. “It is always a challenge when you are the mayor to try and keep things moving forward.”
Clark stated Radmanovich had talked to him a few months ago about resigning.
“I knew it was a possibility down the road,” he said. “He felt he could do a better job on council on the other side of the table at this time.”
Radmanovich said being mayor was too much for him at this time.
