Boyle Rodeo draws hundreds

The Boyle Rodeo ran July 18-20 and attracted hundreds of people to the village, some of who competed in the several rodeo events on the 19th and 20th. Coming out on top in the bareback event was Brandon Stuart with a score of 70.

The Boyle Rodeo ran July 18-20 and attracted hundreds of people to the village, some of who competed in the several rodeo events on the 19th and 20th.

Coming out on top in the bareback event was Brandon Stuart with a score of 70. Closely followed by Cassien Haudegand with a 67 and Vance Kremp at 59.

In the saddlebronc Beau Waters topped the field with a 74. There was a two-way tie for second place with both Laurie Hawea and Edward Hordern coming in with a score of 55, Ryan Vandersteen came in behind with a 54.

In bullriding Casey Berg took the top spot with a 76 and Blake Jackson took the junior bullriding with a 71.

Calf roping saw some impressive times with Steve Horricks roping the fastest at 9.3 seconds followed by both Jeff Drisner and Kody Potts who tied for second with times of 10.1. Jimmy Gunsch took the final spot with a 10.3.

In the steer wrestling Denver Hoff claimed top prize with a time of 4.2 narrowly beating both Joseph Guze at 4.6 and Lance Fraser at 4.7.

Sonda Marks was the fastest in ladies barrel racing with a time of 16.929. Behind her were Shannon Blakely at 17.015 and Riley Greene at 17.064.

The junior barrel racing saw riders putting up excellent times with Taylor Babcook topping the field with a 17.295 time followed by Jessica Gunsch at 17.481 and Bliss Peters at 17.528.

Kelli Acreman took the peewee barrels with a 17.955 time and Kallie Beebe and Briann Carter followed with 18.046 and 18.278 times respectively.

In the novice horse riding Logan Young came out on top with a 69 score. Colton Quellette finished second with a 60 and Chase Zweifel rounded out the trio with a 59.

In team roping the duo of Curtis Diamond and Austin Young led the pack with a time of 6.8. Dawson Graham and Colt Fletcher took second with a 7.4, and a two-way tie for second saw the teams of Koby and Kreo Ziemmer and Marvin Branden and Mark Flynn both finish with a time of 7.8.
