Gary Buchanan has been removed from his position as Athabasca County’s chief administrative officer.
Following an in-camera session prior to their regular meeting Tuesday morning, county council passed a motion to ‘revoke’ Buchanan’s appointment as CAO.
A second motion appointed director of Corporate Service Brian Pysyk as acting CAO until a replacement is found.
