EPC calls on public to join indoor garage sale fundraiser

Edwin Parr Composite School will host a “Purge and Splurge” indoor garage sale in the school’s cafeteria to raise money for the school’s cosmetology and esthetics program this Saturday. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Edwin Parr Composite School will host a “Purge and Splurge” indoor garage sale in the school’s cafeteria to raise money for the school’s cosmetology and esthetics program this Saturday.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., tables in the cafeteria will be rented out ($10 for two tables). The proceeds generated from the table rentals will help offset the cost of pricy equipment such as scissors and shears, as well as help cover the cost of apprenticeships in the program.

“It’s a fairly new program at our school, and it’s actually a fairly expensive program to run as well,” said EPC high school English teacher Jessica Kunnas, who is helping coordinate the Purge and Splurge.

More than two tables may be rented by one party.

The event will be open to the public, and members of the community can reserve tables by getting in contact with Kunnas at [email protected], or her colleague, cosmetology teacher Rhonda Anderson, at [email protected].

Household items typical of a garage sale may be sold, but industrial items are not allowed.
