A 53-year-old man died in a single-vehicle rollover near Colinton Monday night.
Police say the male driver, from central Alberta, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on scene. He was lone occupant of the vehicle.
The driver lost control after the vehicle left the edge of the road.
“The driver brought it back and overcorrected, went back into the ditch and the vehicle went sideways, and then rolled a number of times coming to a rest on its wheels,” Sgt. Brian Scott with Athabasca RCMP said.
The accident occurred on Hwy 663 approximately 1.6 km west of Colinton.
The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.
