Two pedestrians were taken to the Athabasca Health Care Centre following a motor vehicle collision last Tuesday at the intersection of 50th Street and 50th Avenue in front of the Grand Union Hotel.

A mother and daughter were treated for minor injuries as a result of the impact when they were hit by a grey pick-up truck while crossing the street in the crosswalk.

A 74-year-old male driver was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
