The Athabasca District Chamber of Commerce has amended the official rules for the Moonlight Madness ‘Bingo’ contest, to allow for contest entry without the requirement of a purchase from participating merchants.
The revised rules are as follows, and will be posted at the entry form drop-off location during Moonlight Madness, Friday Nov. 29.
Complete lines (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) on the bingo card by making a purchase Nov. 29, 2013 at all participating businesses shown on that line. Enter your name, phone number and email on your entry form and drop your completed entry off at the Tridon tent (located on 50 St. between Alberta Treasury Branch and Northern Lakes College) before 12 midnight on Nov. 29, 2013. The first verified entry drawn with three or more completed lines will win $750 in gift certificates from their choice of participating merchants; the first verified entry drawn with one or two completed lines will win $250 in gift certificates from their choice of participating merchants. SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS! No purchase necessary. Winners will be asked to verify their card by one of the two following options.
OPTION 1: Show all receipts dated Nov. 29, 2013 from the merchants on the completed squares creating the completed line or lines.
OPTION 2: Submit in writing a 50 word essay for each merchant on the squares creating the completed line or lines, explaining what the merchant is about and why it is important to shop locally.
Verification must be submitted by 5:00 pm Monday Dec. 2, 2013 to the Athabasca Advocate in order to be awarded the prize. Should the prize be unclaimed a new winner shall be drawn again at 5:00 pm on Monday Dec. 2, 2013.
