A chickadee is spotted hanging from a bird feeder in a property just just off of Highway 813 on the south side of the Athabasca River during the Dec. 27 Christmas Bird Count. The bird count bas been a part of the Athabasca tradition for 13 years and helps with the conservation of various species by keeping an eye on local bird populations.
