Boyle RCMP are investigating a morning crash on Highway 63 involving three people in two vehicles; however, there were no life-threatening injuries.

Boyle RCMP Cpl. John Spaans explained RCMP are investigating the cause of the accident and which driver was at fault. They are currently talking to witnesses.

The crash occurred at 8:30 a.m. July 12 at mile marker 24, north of the Atmore Junction. The highway was closed in both directions for 10 minutes to allow emergency crews to clear the highway of debris.

“A white Ford F-150 had slowed to turn left while a black Dodge Dakota was passing on the lefthand side,” Spaans said. “The Ford began turning and struck the passing Dodge truck, which caused the Dodge to roll over on the roadway.”

Spaans explained the vehicles were not traveling highway speeds at the time of the collision.

The occupant of the Dodge was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is originally from Edmonton. The occupants from the white Ford are both from Wandering River and did not suffer any injuries.
