Regular delivery to Athabasca Advocate subscribers resumes this week, after federal back-to-work legislation became law Sunday, ending the Canada Post lockout and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers strike that preceded it.

“We are relieved that the mail is moving again, and grateful for our subscribers’ patience and understanding over the last week,” Advocate publisher Ross Hunter said.

Many subscribers collected their June 21 Advocate from alternate pick-up locations established throughout the Athabasca-Boyle region.

“We’d like to thank the various businesses throughout the area that served as pick-up locations, and thank the subscribers who made the extra effort to make sure they didn’t miss last week’s issue.”

Copies of the June 21 issue will still be available to subscribers at the designated pick-up locations until June 30.
