Sleigh rides, DJ and Santa on the menu for Boyle Moonlight Madness

Organizers of Boyle Moonlight Madness are hoping for the best in terms of weather for the Dec. 6 event. “Everything is always up in the air depending on the weather,” said Boyle & District Chamber of Commerce president Connie Radmanovich.

Organizers of Boyle Moonlight Madness are hoping for the best in terms of weather for the Dec. 6 event.

“Everything is always up in the air depending on the weather,” said Boyle & District Chamber of Commerce president Connie Radmanovich.

The event this Friday is spearheaded by the Boyle Chamber of Commerce.

Radmanovich confirmed the outdoor events will tentatively move forward, “weather permitting.”

Boyle Moonlight Madness will feature sleigh rides, hot chocolate and a bonfire from 6 p.m. to at least 8 p.m. A DJ will also be playing. The sleigh rides will begin at Central Sales and end at the bonfire at the end of Main Street.

Santa will show up in surprise locations throughout the village and will be on the sleigh rides, also weather permitting.

“A very jolly Santa will be cruising the town,” said Radmanovich.

A draw for five $100 shop local gift certificates will take place between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. at Aspen AG Foods.

Moonlight Madness, a night for local shops to stay open late, is also an opportunity for “the community to enjoy time together in this hectic, busy season called winter,” said Radmanovich. It is a time “for the chamber to give back to the community.”
