The traffic lights on 50th Street and 49th Avenue have been flashing since Sunday afternoon.
The flashing yellow on 50th Street should be treated as a yield sign, and the flashing red on 49th Avenue as a stop sign according to Alberta Transportation spokesperson Trent Bancarz.
If the lights were flashing red in all directions, it would be treated as a four-way stop.
