Two candidates have stepped forward to fill the open trustee position on the Aspen View Public Schools board.
Brian LeMessurier and Nancy Sand have let their names stand to replace Lewis Semashkewich’s position as a trustee on the board – he had resigned his position in February.
Doug Topinka was originally nominated as well, but he withdrew his name from the race.
Nominations were accepted until noon Tuesday, with nominated candidates having until noon Wednesday to withdraw.
The election will be held on Apr. 7 with polling stations at Smith School and at the Aspen View division office in Athabasca.
