WABASCA – A Wabasca man has been charged with second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault following an alleged Feb. 8 stabbing death.

Desmarais RCMP responded to a call of a stabbing at a Wabasca residence that day at approximately 4 p.m. where one man was transported to hospital and later died of his injuries. Two others were flown to hospital in Edmonton with "serious life-threatening injuries," according to a Feb. 10 RCMP press release.

Twenty-five-year-old Jordon Alook now stands charged in connection with the death of 27-year-old Hughie Decoine, also of Wabasca.

He is scheduled to appear in Desmarais Provincial Court Feb. 13.

RCMP advise no further information will be released, as the matter is now before the courts.
