On June 26 Freson Bros permanently closed its in-store pharmacy location known as Anderson Pharmacy.
“It was a business decision,” stated Freson Bros. store manager Austin Jessome.
Anderson Pharmacy has operated within the Barrhead Freson Bros. location for 22 years.
There was a notice posted in the store advising patrons of the upcoming closure.
The doors were open on June 26 as the staff was closing down the location, but they are not open for business.
Anderson Pharmacy have been transferring patient records to Barrhead IDA Pharmacy.
“We trust that IDA will be able to take care of their needs,” said Jessome.
Carrie McElroy, Barrhead IDA Pharmacy Manager, commented: “We are welcoming the transferred patients and are already filling prescriptions.”
Patient records were transferred to Barrhead IDA prior to the closure date of the Anderson Pharmacy.
The staff is providing exceptional service to existing patients and the influx of new patients through the transition explained McElroy.
