Barrhead Orioles down Westlock Red Lions 2-0

The Barrhead Orioles scored their first win on May 24, defeating the Westlock Red Lions 2-0 on their home turf at Keller Field.

It was a generally very quiet affair, with Barrhead gaining a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning and then getting few of their runners on base after that. Westlock also had a lot of difficulty on offence, at one point managing to get the bases loaded but failing to score any runs.

With that victory, the Orioles' season record now stands at 1-2, as they previously lost to the St. Albert Cardinals and Parkland Twins.

The Orioles are next set to re-play the St. Albert Cardinals on Wednesday, June 1 in Barrhead. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
