BARRHEAD - The Barrhead RCMP are seeking the public's help in locating a local man accused of committing several serious criminal offences after he failed to appear in court on May 13.

As a result of his absence, Alberta justice Thomas Achtymichuk issued a warrant for Curtis Paul Powder.

Powder was scheduled to speak to four charges of possession with a purpose, two charges of possession of a controlled substance, one charge of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon.

However, Barrhead RCMP Sgt. Colin Hack said Powder, since February, is believed to have lost weight.
