The Barrhead RCMP are investigating the cause of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 51st Avenue and 46th Street.

On July 16, at about 12:30 p.m. a white pickup truck that was travelling east on 51 Avenue when it was struck by another pickup truck travelling north on 46th Street going through the intersection. The force of the collision caused the white pickup truck to flip onto its roof.

Sgt. Dodds said the red truck failed to give the right-of-way as required.

"We are just fortunate that no one was seriously hurt," he said.

The two drivers, who were sole occupants of their suspected vehicles, suffered only minor injuries which were treated on the scene.
