She is a natural leader who willingly steps forward to take on responsibilities, motivated by a desire to contribute meaningfully to her school community.

Sasha's respectful nature and warm spirit are felt by all.

Her involvement with the First Nations, Métis and Inuit liaison and Elder has deepened her cultural connections.

She also encourages other indigenous and Métis students to embrace cultural activities, helping to foster a strong sense of identity and belonging among her peers.

Sasha truly shines as a role model and a source of inspiration.

Rayleigh Vazquez is new to the BCHS community and has demonstrated resilience and growth, says the School Division.

Despite the challenges of transitioning to a new school, Vazquez embraced this change with determination, setting personal goals to build confidence and succeed academically.

Through kindness and openness, she formed meaningful relationships with both classmates and staff becoming a valued member of the school's community.
