Vista Virtual students awarded for outstanding actions

Five students from Vista Virtual School in Barrhead were recently honored with Citizenship Awards by the Pembina Hills School Division, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the school community.

BARRHEAD – Five Vista Virtual School students were given Citizenship awards by the Pembina Hills School Division on May 28.

Austin Wilcox, who is currently a grade 12 student at Vista Virtual School, is a highly organized, responsible individual who takes the time to prepare for classes in advance by reviewing the course information on his own.

He is consistently thoughtful and respectful, demonstrating his maturity and reliability.

Wilcox has excellent attendance and is conscientious in attending all school sessions well prepared to participate in class.

Sara Armstrong is a Vista Virtual School Grade 12 student who demonstrates her motivation to learn with quick responses, clear and concise questions, and a strong objective to gain thorough understanding.

She is reliable and respectful in all interactions and in her regular attendance during school sessions respecting the investment of time and commitment of others.

Armstrong's positivity is influential in contributing to good citizenship in her classes.

Sahl Shafiq is a Grade 12 Vista Virtual School student who is responsible and takes initiative to make the most of what he is learning to consistently improve his grades.

His strong work ethic and determined efforts demonstrate his maturity in learning in the virtual environment.

Shafiq’s reliability shows through in his consistent attendance and appreciation for others time and commitment.

Koel Robinson is a Vista Virtual School student in Grade 12 who demonstrates a positive attitude and is respectful during class sessions.

He has a genuine appreciation and respectfulness of others and his teacher’s guidance while taking a proactive approach to his own learning and understanding.

Robinson’s whole approach to being a digital citizen within Vista Virtual School demonstrates his maturity and his ownership of his future.

David Minchin is in Grade 12 at Vista Virtual School and consistently shows his dedication and diligence in pursuit of learning and advancing.

His proactive approach in following directions and keeping to the learning schedule commitments is highlighted by his cooperative demeanor.

Minchin can be depended on to attend all his online sessions and demonstrates his motivation to understanding and learning by asking timely clarifying questions.
