The Edmonton Police announced two officers were killed early Thursday morning in the line of duty.
Edmonton Police Service (EPS) did not give more details about what happened but Chief Dale McFee will make a statement at 10 a.m.
EPS has an area around Inglewood in Edmonton's northwest blocked off.
