French literature will be plentiful at the Festival Du Livre at Whispering Hills Primary School this week.
The Athabasca branch of Canadian Parents For French, which supports French immersion programs in schools, is bringing the festival to WHPS from Tuesday to Friday. An ongoing book sale will be held each day, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (7 p.m. on Thursday), offering a full slate of French language books. Scholastic is providing the books, and all profits will go back into the school in the form of books for the libraries at WHPS and Landing Trail Intermediate School.
It’s the first time a French book sale has been held at the school, and all members of the community are invited to check it out.
